After installing the ScanX extension for XVCapture 3.5 you may receive a "-1001" error when trying to take a test capture. The device will respond to the ScanX software, but will act like it's not connected to the computer in the Apteryx software. To resolve this you will need to copy two files from the workstation and paste them into the root of the Apteryx install folder. This will also work for server setups. Navigate to the paths below and copy these two files:
Local Disk C:\Program Files (x86)\Air Techniques\ScanX\Update
(copy the "VistaScan.dll" file)
Local Disk C:\ProgramData\Air Techniques
(copy the VistaScan.ini file)
Paste these two files into the root of XVCapture.exe.
If the above path does not exist, this would indicate the drivers for your Scan X unit are not installed. For driver installation, please reach out to Air Techniques.
We highly recommend updating your Scan X Drivers to utilize VistaEasy, rather than the legacy VistaScan drivers, as this will allow us to integrate your device into XVCapture via VistaEasy. This extension creates a better workflow, as well as mitigates many known issues with the legacy integration.
To update your Scan X drivers to VistaEasy, please reach out to Air Techniques.
After this update has been completed, please Submit a Ticket to our technical support team for assistance in integrating VistaEasy into XVCapture.
