This error can occur with any brand of E2VII sensor, and is due to a connection, power, or hardware issue. It can also occur in specific rooms, intermittently, or even upon every attempt to capture an image.
If this error is experienced, we recommend attempting the following:
- Plug the sensor directly into the PC, preferably into one of the back ports provided by the PC's motherboard if there is enough cable length. The use of extender cables and non-powered USB hubs can cause or exacerbate this issue. If additional cable length is required, the use of a powered USB hub is recommended.
- If the workstation in use is a laptop, all-in-one, or mini-PC, a powered USB hub is highly encouraged as these types of workstations may be unable to provide the sensor with enough power to operate consistently.
If the error continues to persist while the sensor is plugged directly into the PC, or while plugged into a powered-USB hub, the office or supporting staff will need to reach out to the manufacturer of the sensor as this would indicate a problem with the hardware itself.
