Below are the recommended settings for image quality using Vatech sensors. The settings themselves are the same between differing Apteryx software, however the method of accessing those settings varies slightly between the XVLite, XrayVision, and the DCV/XVCapture lines.
Note: If the Binning Mode dropdown appears empty, press the down arrow key to access the modes. If the dropdown lists "No Image Processing", no sensor is currently recognized as connected to the PC.
XVLite:
- From the main page of XVLite, select Preferences from the left-hand menu [this may require scrolling down the left-hand menu].
- Click on the Sensor option from the left-hand menu.
- Double click on Vatech EzSensor under Digital X-ray Sensor Settings.
- Click on the Device Settings tab
- Use the following guidelines to set the Image Processing Mode and the Binning Mode:
- For the Vatech EzSensor:
Image Processing Mode - IP301
Binning Mode - 1 - For the Vatech EzSensor HD:
Image Processing Mode - IP701, IP704, or IP664
Binning Mode - 2
- For the Vatech EzSensor:
XrayVision:
- Launch XrayVision and select Tools > Hardware Options
- Double click on Vatech EzSensor
- Click on the Device Settings tab
- Use the following guidelines to set the Image Processing Mode and the Binning Mode:
- For the Vatech EzSensor:
Image Processing Mode - IP301
Binning Mode - 1 - For the Vatech EzSensor HD:
Image Processing Mode - IP701, IP704, or IP664
Binning Mode - 2
- For the Vatech EzSensor:
DCV/XVCapture:
- Launch DCV/XVCapture and select Advanced User Tools
- Select Preferences
- By default, the User ID is admin and the Password is AKRON
- Select Imaging Extensions from the left side towards the bottom, click the red caret (>) next to Digital X-ray Image Capture and select Vatech Intra-Oral Digital X-ray
- If the button in Step 6 is not currently visible, click on Image Quality Settings on the left-hand side
- Click on Modify Post Capture Filters
- Select Filter Options > Delete All Filters and hit Yes on the prompt
- Select Filter Options > Invert Filter, Filter Options > Flip Vertically Filter, and Filter Options > Gamma Filter (set at 80)
- Click OK in the upper right to close the Post Capture Filter screen
- Use the following guidelines to set the Image Processing Mode and the Binning Mode:
- For the Vatech EzSensor:
