Your XVWeb user account must have the Admin privilege to create, edit or delete enhancements. .
While viewing patient images in XVWeb, select any image and click 'Enhance' on the bottom toolbar.
Here you can create, edit, select, and remove enhancements.
Create or edit enhancement will open the Enhancement Panel on the right side of the screen.
The menu section below that will allow you to switch between available enhancements, click one to activate it.
Click Remove all enhancements to clear the currently applied enhancement.
The Enhancement Panel
Name
Enter a name for your new enhancement. Once saved it will appear in the drop-down of enhancements for you to edit.
Manufacturer & Model
Select the model of the sensor to have your filter ONLY apply to images taken with that model of sensor
Modality
Select a Modality to have your filter ONLY apply to images taken under that modality.
Pixel Format
Select a color format to have your filter ONLY apply to images taken with that format.
Image Size
Select a Modality to have your filter ONLY apply to images taken under that modality.
Effects
To add an effect to an enhancement select it from the Effects drop-down, this will add it to the box below where you can edit parameters for that effect like min and max, as well as reorder all the currently applied effects by clicking the up and down arrows beside the title for the effect. The x will remove the effect.
Make sure to click the Save button at the bottom when you are done making changes
The three most common effects used are Gamma correction for brightness adjustments, Sharpen for increasing sharpness, and IOFilter2 for our ApteryxIO filter.
Gamma Correction
- Range: 0.01 - 6
- < 1 darker image
- > 1 brighter image
- = 1 no change to image
Sharpen
- Radius: odd numbers >= 1 (Keep this number as small as possible)
- < 1 darker image
- Amount: 0-100
- 0 is no change
- 1 is least amount of sharpening
- 100 is most amount of sharpening
IOFilter2
- The default settings will apply automatically, and no change needs to be made if you wish to have the ApteryxIO filter as an effect.
