Dynamic Enhance
A one-click feature that automatically evaluates each image and applies the most appropriate enhancement filter based on its characteristics. It can be tuned to match a location’s preferred enhancement settings, ensuring consistency across devices and offices. This reduces manual filter selection and helps standardize image quality without requiring technician intervention.

Prefer your images enhanced?
Your entire site, or your specific location can configure XVWeb to ALWAYS display your images enhanced. Configure the site to always show enhanced images using an admin account by navigating to Site Settings and enabling Always Show Enhanced Images - this will apply an enhancement every time images load for all locations.
To adjust your location, or override the site setting, ensure you have the correct location selected in the upper right next to your username, then head to Location Settings and set Always Show Enhanced Images to
- On - Your location will always display enhanced images when they load, and ignore the site setting
- Off - Your location will never display enhanced images when they load, and ignore the site setting
- Inherit - Respects the current state of the Site Setting - Always Show Enhanced Images
Prefer a specific enhancement to always apply for your location when they load?
- Set Enhancement Mode to Favorite if you'd like to always apply the enhancement you've favorited for your location
- If you'd like XVWeb to dynamically apply a custom enhancement for your images set Enhancement Mode to Dynamic.
Image Quality Wizard - Compare Your Enhancements
What Is the Image Quality Wizard?
The Image Quality Wizard is a diagnostic enhancement tool within XVWeb that allows users to preview and apply image filters in a side-by-side comparison format. It’s designed to simplify the process of selecting the most effective enhancement for a series, especially in environments with varied devices and technician experience levels.
What Enhancements Exist in It?
The wizard includes all existing enhancement filters available in XVWeb as well as six new “Skylark” enhancements, which target common image issues such as underexposure, overexposure, and sharpening.
What Happens When You Select an Enhancement?
When a user selects an enhancement, the selected filter is applied to the entire image series.
Brightness, Contrast, and Gamma Control Updates
The viewer now includes a streamlined adjustment interface for brightness, contrast, and gamma, designed to make per-image tuning faster and more intuitive:
- Unified Control: A single slider lets users adjust brightness and contrast simultaneously, reducing the need for separate tools and minimizing clicks.
- Gamma Slider: Gamma correction is now a dedicated, quickly adjustable control. Unlike brightness—which shifts the entire histogram—gamma adjusts mid-range values without affecting extremes, making it ideal for fine-tuning diagnostic clarity.
- Real-Time Updates: All adjustments apply instantly, allowing users to see the impact of changes without needing to reload or reprocess the image.
- Save/Reset Options: Users can save their adjustments for future sessions or reset to default values with a single click.
These enhancements are part of a broader effort to reduce retakes, improve diagnostic confidence, and simplify technician workflows.
Save Enhancements Feature
The Save Enhancements functionality allows users to persist their selected image enhancement settings across viewing sessions in XVWeb. After applying filters using the Image Quality Wizard or any other method, users can click Enhance Series > Save to store the current configuration. This ensures that:
- The same enhancement filters will automatically load the next time the image series is viewed.
- Saved enhancements are visible to other users at the same location, supporting consistency across teams.
This feature is especially useful in multi-location environments where standardizing image quality preferences helps reduce training overhead and improves diagnostic reliability.
NOTE: Saving an enhancement does not replace the raw image and therefore can be removed at any time.
