What They Are

1. Standard User Accounts
   1. The user accounts function like most website’s user accounts where an email, username are defined at creation. However, they are created and managed by a user with the Admin privilege.
2. Active Directory Federation Services
   1. The AD FS setup should be done during the site setup process by the organization’s IT and not after the site is created. However, we can retroactively update a site to switch to ADFS authentication.
   2. These steps will need to be completed by IT.

How They Work

1. Standard User Accounts
   1. At site setup, a default administrator login is created. The username for that account is always “Admin”. The temporary password is sent out when the site becomes reachable by a browser i.e. if you can navigate to your Apteryx site on a computer, the email should have been sent.
