If a user notices a message displaying "Capture Station [PCNAME] is unmapped. Please map the capture station to a location" when viewing a patient's images in XVWeb, this is to notify the user the images they are viewing were captured on a workstation that is not yet mapped to a location in XVWeb. This is an intended feature, as properly mapped workstations are necessary for both AI and Location Management functions to work correctly. This message is not an error, and does not affect XVWeb's functionality.
More information regarding Location Management, its functions, and proper setup can be found here: Managing XVWeb Site Locations
To map the workstation to a location and clear the message, please refer to the steps below:
- Click on the message when it displays to open the Location Management menu
- Select "Capture Stations" from the top-left corner
- Check the box next to the Capture Station that was displayed in the pop-up message
- Click "Change Location," Then select the physical office location the workstation belongs to. If only one location exists or the exact location does not exist, assign the workstation to the default location.
- NOTE: To determine the default location, click on the username in the top-right of XVWeb and select "Location Management," then select the "Locations" tab from the left-hand side. The default location will be denoted by a black star symbol.
