XVWeb's AI integration allows for the ability to select which AI layers and annotations automatically display when Series AI is enabled, allowing users to control which layers, annotations, and pathologies do or do not persistently display when AI findings of that type exist.
Which AI layers automatically display when Series AI is enabled or toggled is controlled by which layers are marked as "preferred." To mark specific layers as preferred:
- Navigate to and view a series of images containing visible AI results
- Click on an image, then click the button labeled AI on the bottom toolbar

The AI Viewer panel will display on the right side of the screen, and display which findings are available for the image you have selected. The star icon will be used to specify which layers are "preferred" (always display when Series AI is enabled) or not preferred (will not automatically display when Series AI is enabled).
- To set a layer as preferred and have it always display when a finding of that type is detected for an image, click the star icon next to the layer's name.
- To prevent specific layers from displaying, ensure those layers are not set as preferred. Layers that are not marked as preferred will not automatically display when viewing an image's AI results.

How can I tell if a layer is preferred or not preferred?
If the star icon is filled in (solid white), this indicates the layer is set as preferred. If the star icon only shows an outline, this indicates the layer is not set as preferred.
Are these changes global, or per workstation?
AI layer preferences are a per workstation, per browser setting, as this preference is stored in your web browser's cookies.
All available AI layers automatically display when Series AI is enabled, even though no layers are marked as preferred. How do I prevent all layers from displaying automatically?
When no layers are marked as preferred, all layers will attempt to display if findings of the corresponding type are detected within the image(s). To prevent all layers from displaying automatically, one or more layers will need to be marked as preferred.
Additionally, if you would like all layers except for a specific one to always display, mark all layers as preferred except for the layer you would like to remain hidden.
