The following guide covers basic instructions for printing, and introductory steps on adjusting advanced printing options.
BASIC PRINTING PROCEDURES
Begin by viewing the patient's images that you intend to print. At the Image collection screen Select Image operations > Print Images.
From there, choose your printer, what layout you are printing into, and what format you are using. Optional fields exist for printing labels, automatically populating the images into tiles, and messages to include a digital signature.
Don't see your layout you want to print in? See this guide to create a print layout: Creating New Print Layouts - XVCapture/DCV
If your printer options need to be adjusted, for instance printing in a different page size, you can select 'Setup Printer' to change that.
If you are ready to Print, select 'Print'
Now at the Print layout screen, select Auto-populate to fill the tiles based on their tooth associations if you would like. Otherwise, you can drag and drop the images into the tiles.
Once you click 'Print' the image will print out according to the settings you have set.
ADVANCED PRINTING OPTIONS
By default, the printed image will include some patient information and additional information about the image(s) captured.
To change this, navigate to the main menu and select Advanced User Tools > Preferences (password is AKRON)
From here, click on the 'Printing' tab.
Here you will see a large area of customizable printing options.
The most commonly adjusted areas are in the 'Printed Header and Footer' and 'Printed Information'.
Here you can adjust what information is printed on each image
You can adjust the dropdowns to include alternate information, or uncheck the checkboxes to completely remove the information.
