If XVCapture or Dentiray Capture is failing while you are taking images:
You will need to reset the config (s) for that device. It doesn't matter whether it is an x-ray unit or IO camera taking the images.
To do this, go into ...\Apteryx\XVCapture\Configs folder or the ...\Dentiray Capture\Configs folder. Create a backup of the current configs by creating a Configsold folder inside of the Configs folder and copy all of the files into the ConfigsOld folder or a location of your choosing.
You will look for the file with the computer name in the beginning and the equipment extension name in the middle. Delete those files. You should now be able to take images normally.
Your files will look similar to these.
If you are missing the Forward Images option or experiencing unexpected behavior in XVCapture or Dentiray Capture:
You will need to delete all of the files in the Configs folder then set up the software again.
Launch XVCapture or Dentiray Capture, and if prompted, select "No" to using the default configuration.
Without changing any of the settings in the next setup window, click "OK".
This will launch XVCapture or Dentiray Capture with the default, minimal settings. Please note Forwarding Settings will not be enabled yet. To have the recommended settings for XVCapture or Dentiray Capture enabled, first, navigate to Advanced User Tools > Preferences > Password: AKRON
Next, on the left side of the screen, navigate to "Data Entry", and scroll down to the section labeled "Command Line Support". Uncheck any boxes that are checked.
On the left side of the screen, select Image Forwarding. Make sure to check the boxes as they are pictured in the image below. Your Server AE Title will be different. However, it should be there. It will look like this, without that one small difference.
Click OK until you are out of the dialogue. Your issue should now be resolved, and XVCapture/Dentiray Capture should now be using the recommended settings. If you still need help, please submit a ticket with PlanetDDS Support.
