Depending on the model of x-ray sensor in use, you may find all four corners of each acquired image are being cropped with a black border, causing the images to appear as a "diamond" shape.
If you'd prefer to disable this setting, please follow the steps below:
Launch XVCapture and navigate to Advanced User Tools > Preferences (password: AKRON) > Imaging Extensions
Drop-down Digital X-ray Image Capture, then select the Imaging Extension that is used to acquire images with the affected sensor
Select Image Quality Settings from the left-hand side and deselect "make cut corners black"
Certain Imaging Extensions will contain this setting under Hardware Settings instead - if "make cut corners black" is not found under Image Quality Settings, select Hardware Settings instead.
- If "make cut corners black" is not found under either settings menu, the option to disable this setting is not available for the particular Imaging Extension you have selected.
Click OK to navigate back to Preferences, then OK again to save your changes and return to the main screen.
