If you are unable to locate recently captured images for a patient in XVWeb, the first place to check is the Forwarding Database to determine if the images had simply failed to forward to XVWeb, and resubmit them if so. Images can fail to forward for a variety of reasons:
- Loss of internet connectivity
- Offline Capture mode was used (see Offline Capture)
- Firewall or other 3rd party security software is blocking the workstation's connection to XVWeb
- An older version of XVWeb Capture was used to capture the images, then XVWeb Capture was updated at a later point without resubmitting failed forwards first
The steps to locate and resubmit failed forwards in XVWeb Capture are as follows:
- Log into XVWeb, then navigate to Username > Capture > Open Forwarding Database
- The Forwarding Database will display:
Include Patient Info: Toggles the ability to see Patient ID, Last Name, and First Name associated with the failed forwards.
UID: Displays the image UID belonging to the completed or failed store.
Attempts: How many times Capture has attempted to resubmit the failed forward automatically and/or manually.
Error: Displays why the image had failed to forward.
Completed: Will display what date and time the image successfully stored to XVWeb. If this field is blank, this indicates the file has not stored into XVWeb.
Images that have successfully forwarded will show the date and time the image had successfully forwarded to XVWeb under the Completed column.
- Successfully forwarded and completed entries can be cleared from the Forwarding Database list by clicking Clear Completed. Only failed/incomplete forwards will remain listed after doing so. This is optional but can make it easier to see which entries have failed to forward.
Images that have NOT successfully forwarded will have a blank field under the Completed column and show an error under the Error column. These images would be the ones failing to appear in XVWeb as they have not forwarded.
- To resubmit failed forwards, click Requeue. This will go through the entire Forwarding Database list from top to bottom, and trigger XVWeb Capture to try to re-forward any failed entries.
- Once the failed entries successfully forward, a date and time will populate for them in the Completed column. You may need to refresh the page and navigate back to the Forwarding Database in order to see this.
Once the previously failed forwards show as Completed, the image(s) that had failed to forward and were previously unable to be found should now be viewable under the respective patient's record.
If you find the failures are unable to resubmit, or images still cannot be located after resubmission, please Submit a Ticket to our support team for further assistance.
