Using XVWeb Capture's Shortcut feature, the user workflow for capturing a panoramic image can be streamlined to reduce clicks and manual selections. To create a shortcut specifically for your panoramic device:
Navigate to Username > Capture > Manage Shortcuts
Select New Shortcut
Specify a Shortcut Name (this will be the name of the shortcut that is clicked on by the user)
Select which Plugin will be used during the capture process from the Plugins dropdown
- In this example we are using our Internal Simulator - in a live environment, please select the Plugin that is able to invoke your panoramic device.
Set the Modality to PX
Select the Device that will be used by the Plugin specified in step 4
Select Show Teeth, then click the field when it displays "Select Teeth..."
Click Select All, then click Continue
Your resulting shortcut should now have all fields specified - an example of a properly configured shortcut can be seen below:
Once set up as intended, click Save, then close the Manage Shortcuts window.
Using your new shortcut
The newly created shortcut can be used via two different methods:
- After bridging or entering the correct patient information into XVWeb's query screen, select Shortcuts > the shortcut you've created. This is the best workflow for new patients that do not yet have an existing record in XVWeb.
- Select the shortcut from the top of the right-hand toolbar when viewing an existing patient's images.
When utilizing the shortcut, all selections and clickable steps are skipped, immediately readying the pano and its respective GUI for capture.
The resulting image will be properly assigned PX modality, and "Whole Mouth" rather than individual tooth numbers.
