Capturing Images with Carestream RVG Sensors

This guide covers the intended workflow to follow when capturing images with Carestream RVG model sensors within XVWeb Capture. 

If your Carestream sensors are not yet integrated or functional within XVWeb Capture, please refer to our Carestream RVG Sensor Integration Guide before proceeding. 

1. Plug in your Carestream RVG sensor. 

2. Navigate or bridge to your XVWeb URL.

   • If you are capturing for a new patient, ensure all necessary demographic fields are filled out, then click Cloud Capture.

   

   • If you are capturing for an existing patient, view their record and click Capture from the top of the right-hand toolbar.

     

3. XVWeb Capture will launch and prompt the user to select a device. Select Carestream - RVGSkinLiteGUI from the Device Selection dropdown. If Carestream - RVGSkinLiteGUI does not immediately appear as an option, click the refresh icon next to the Device Selection dropdown. 

   

4. Select a single tooth, grouping of teeth, or a layout, depending on what images need to be captured for the patient. 

   

5. Once a selection is made, image acquisition will initiate automatically. Once the RVG Acquisition interface appears, an image can be acquired. This interface will reappear after each image is taken, indicating it is ready to receive an image from the sensor. 

   

6. Once all images have been acquired, click Save and Go Back to return to the patient's record.
